Changpeng Zhao, aka CZ, the CEO of Binance has tweeted to his nearly 300k followers that “the world’s first live property auction using cryptocurrency streaming” will be held in Australia next month. Potential buyers will be able to use Bitcoin (BTC) or Binance Coin (BNB) to procure a state-of-the-art house in New South Wales.
The house has “drawn inspiration” from Google Architecture, and has been built according to the “exaggerated and once-futuristic style, where buildings are defined by geometric shapes and bold use of glass, concrete and steel”.
Set to “utilize a borderless payment system”, the onsite auction will take place on April 8 and will be conducted by James Pratt Auctions. The Sydney-based auctioneers are adept at running record breaking real estate auctions and are the “auctioneers of choice” for business tycoons, celebrities and major companies in the luxury real estate market.
Advisory services will be provided by NuYen Blockchain who specialise in offering “seamless and reliable” over the counter (OTC) brokering services. Trigon Trading a company that facilitates high volume OTC trades in Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, and XRP, are the desk assisting NuYen Exchange to “settle this BTC to AUD real estate auction”.
Own This Luxury Property For 471 Bitcoin
CZ clarified that the property is “not a Binance house”, but said that he liked it a lot. A droll twitter user photoshopped a Binance logo on the side of the house, saying “fixed the window”.
Another commenter @rallyqt, wrote: “This house is futuristic! It’s for sale for 471 Bitcoins $BTC (appr. $1.8 million at current prices) or I’m guessing 200K Binance coin $BNB. The crypto price is way cheaper than fiat price. Nice”.
Some notable features of the property are a soccer pitch, a 25m heated pool and gated beach access. Technological advances in the house include Google home automation, keyless entry, zoned and ducted air conditioning, video intercom, and solar panels.
