According to a press release, leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced that it is all set to open its Coinbase Earn program for people of more than a hundred countries in the world. The program is both a promotional tactic for the ZRX token and an educational program for the general public in these 100 countries. In this Coinbase designed program, users will be able to earn tokens while learning about cryptographic tokens, particularly the Ethereum based ERC-20 tokens. The emphasis is on the Ox platform and the ZRX. The users will be able to earn tokens by taking quizzes on ZCash (ZEC), Basic Attention Token (BAT) and Stellar Lumen (XLM). The test takers will earn these coins as a reward.
Raising Awareness for Growth
The awareness program is a move, according to the company, towards greater inclusion, which will further allow the growth of the sector. The number of investors in cryptocurrencies, the company believes, will increase with the increase in awareness around the relatively burgeoning and misunderstood industry.
Coinbase has based this on the results of a survey conducted by the company, which had revealed that one of the most significant barriers to the investment in cryptocurrencies for many investors is lack of knowledge. In fact, according to Coinbase, the survey delineated that the people are willing to learn about the processes involved with cryptocurrency investment if given an opportunity. In this respect, the rolling out of this awareness raising program consisting of short videos and periodic quizzes to a broad public across many countries can undoubtedly help the company create a broad customer base for itself. However, more generally, it can help people in countries like, Uzbekistan or Argentina (part of a list of 85 states where Coinbase enabled USDC), to start investing in crypto like the USDC as a buffer against financial instability.
