The cryptocurrency exchange Liqui has posted an official announcement that it will be closing down because it cannot continue providing the required services to its users. According to the announcement, users have 30 days from today – 28 January – to withdraw all their assets.
No Liquidity For Liqui, Cryptocurrency Exchange Will Shut Down
“Recently, we were happy to announce the change in our policies. We gave you the right to decide whether you want to be with us in our Crypto Exchange journey by accepting the changes. Much to our regret, after this step Liqui is no longer able to provide liquidity for the users left”.
It continued: “We also do not see any economic point in providing you with our services. However, we do not want to return to where we were a month ago. Hence, we decided to close all accounts and stop providing our services. It broke our hearts to do that”.
Getting funds out will be the priority of users, and they have 30 days to withdraw their digital assets through the website. The website will go into maintenance mode on March 1st and it is likely that no further withdrawal requests will be honoured. They have cautioned users to take action within the time limit to ensure they can get their money out without paying extra fees or face the risks of never having their money returned to them.
Even in the midst of this bad news, the company still feels positive about the future.
“We may be back soon. However, that depends on the market which has significantly changed since 2017. We do not know what else to say but thank you for supporting the cryptocurrency community and your faith in us”.
They ended their statement with a quote from Marianne Williamson: “”Every ending is a new beginning. Through the grace of God, we can always start again”.
