A blockchain-powered employment site, bitJob, formally launched earlier this week with the aim of connecting potential employees to employers on a secure platform. It is one of the latest blockchain projects to come out of Israel.
With ‘blockchain developer’ being one of the highest searched-for-jobs on Linkedin in 2018, now is the perfect time to streamline the process of connecting employers with employees. The idea is to allow students to earn extra income by working on small jobs across various fields while gaining real-life experience which will always come in handy in the future.
The platform is based on the Ethereum blockchain and has its own native currency, STU, which acts as a form of payment and a reward system. It is a simple process, people who are looking for workers post requests to the platform, and once the job is completed, payment is made without any need for additional costs. All interactions are also rewarded by bitJob, which accepts both fiat and cryptocurrency.
The BitJob Blockchain Platform Will Allow You To Track And Manage Social Rewards
“By using our smart contracts, you can track and manage the rewards that members receive from positive social actions within the bitJob ecosystem,” said Dror Medalion, bitJob CEO.
The idea came to life in early 2012 when three childhood friends (Dror Medalion, CEO and Co-founder, Aviad Gindi, CFO and Co-founder and Elad Kofman, CMO and Co-founder) were finding it difficult to earn a decent income while studying. After graduation, they were faced with another obstacle – the lack of experience translated to fewer professional opportunities in their field.
The opportunity for all students to pursue their dreams led the team to run a successful Crowdfunding Campaign in 2017 (ICO), enabling the firm to create a dedicated platform and a unique digital currency for students.
According to a press release, bitJob aims to provide students with small, fast and fitting and somewhat challenging tasks rewarded with STU currency, assisting students to earn digital currencies while enriching experience and skills for future career success.
