Cryptocurrency companies are looking beyond the space in order to attract investment and gain exposure. The Litecoin Foundation is leading the pack and are excited about sponsoring the second annual Mammoth Film Festival.
The Festival is an all media event celebrating varieties of filmmakers, actors, directors, writers, producers and their work and claims to be a “retreat for those who love, create and enjoy film”. This year, each winning filmmaker will receive an undisclosed amount of Litecoin as part of their prize. The Litecoin Foundation will also have its team members at the event interacting with celebrities and filmmakers as well as educating attendees on cryptocurrencies. Some of the activities will include creating crypto wallets to experience the power of LTC firsthand.
The Litecoin Foundation And Mammoth Film Festival – A New Event With New Ideas
“When we spoke to the festival’s founders, they immediately expressed the growing enthusiasm and support for Litecoin we’re seeing amongst the filmmaking community,” said Charlie Lee, Creator of Litecoin and Managing Director of the Litecoin Foundation. “As we push for mainstream adoption, it makes sense to partner with a festival that is comprised of people who bring new ideas and visions to the world through the content they create, and one we can grow with through the years. ”
The 2019 Festival, taking place in Mammoth Lakes, California, will feature a star-studded lineup with nine total world premiere features and over a dozen world premiere star studded shorts.
“As we establish ourselves as a new festival in an already dense market, it makes a great deal of sense for us to throw the old pattern away,” said Tanner Beard, President of Mammoth Film Festival. “We feel it’s important to look forward in an ever-changing landscape of not just film and television, but in the worlds of tech, virtual reality, social media and currency. The Litecoin Foundation is an organization that fits right in with all those ideas.”
The festival will take place in Mammoth Lakes California, and will be held from February 7 until February 11.
