According to a press release, US postal carrier UPS and e-commerce technology company Inxeption have jointly rolled out a blockchain-powered platform to allow a “seamless, end-to-end experience where merchants can view their entire supply chain”. They claim that setting up, selling and shipping products online will now be easier for B2B merchants.
In January of this year, UPS invested an undisclosed amount in Inxeption through its Strategic Enterprise fund.
The platform integration called Inxeption Zippy will help businesses market and distribute their products on multiple online channels, from one secure place. The technology ensures that all information, like contract-specific pricing and negotiated rates, are only shared between buyer and seller.
“The growth of e-commerce is driving B2B buyers to expect the same fast and convenient shopping experiences that consumers enjoy,” said Kevin Warren, Chief Marketing Officer at UPS. “Working with Inxeption is another way we’re creating innovative solutions that helps small businesses deliver quality service for their customers and succeed in e-commerce”.
Merging with UPS means merchants can view their entire supply chain from product listing to delivery and will be able to perform a number of tasks. These include building a webpage, uploading product information, scheduling orders orders and shipments , monitoring returns, processing of transactions, reviewing sales and marketing analytics and conducting search engine marketing
“We’re revolutionizing B2B e-commerce and bringing companies and their customers together online in a trusted manner,” said Farzad Dibachi, CEO of Inxeption. “This relationship creates simplified pricing solutions for B2B merchants with limited digital marketing and IT resources to easily manage all aspects of selling and shipping from one secure place.”
Companies large and small across the world are utilizing the power of blockchain. From tracking the delivery of coffee beans to tracking the entire lifecycle of food from farm to table, the technology adds transparency and verifiability to all transactions.
